Question 1

What is roof rejuvenation?

Accepted Answer

It's a plant-based rejuvenation treatment for aging asphalt shingle roofs. Sun and heat slowly dry the oils in asphalt, leaving shingles brittle. A bio-based plant-oil treatment is applied that soaks into the shingle. It isn't a paint or coating sitting on top — it's absorbed into the asphalt.

Question 2

Is it a coating or sealer?

Accepted Answer

No. It's not a coating or sealer that sits on the surface. It absorbs into the shingles to restore the oils that keep them flexible.

Question 3

How does the process work?

Accepted Answer

We start with a free inspection to confirm the roof qualifies. If it does, we handle any needed prep first, do a complimentary soft wash, then spray the bio-based plant-oil rejuvenator evenly across the roof so it soaks into the shingles. You'll get photos and documentation afterward.

Question 4

How long does it take?

Accepted Answer

A few hours, done in a single visit. No tear-off, no dumpster, no multi-day crew on your property.

Question 5

Do I need to leave home during treatment?

Accepted Answer

No. You can stay home. We may ask you to keep pets inside and move vehicles away from the spray zone, but you don't have to leave.

Question 6

Is there a smell?

Accepted Answer

Bio-based treatments are generally described as low-odor with no harsh solvent smell. You may notice a mild scent during application that fades quickly.

Question 7

Does my roof qualify?

Accepted Answer

Good candidates are aging but intact asphalt shingle roofs: shingles in place and sealed down, no active leaks, solid decking. Fading, some granules in the gutters and minor stiffness are common on roofs that qualify. Severe damage, rotten decking, or roofs at the end of their service life usually rule a roof out.

Question 8

What if my roof has damage?

Accepted Answer

Prep comes first. We inspect before treating, and if we find missing shingles, active leaks or soft decking, those get addressed before any treatment. We won't treat over problems.

Question 9

How can I tell if my roof might be ready?

Accepted Answer

Common signs: shingles look faded or chalky, you're finding granules in gutters or at downspouts, edges are starting to curl slightly, or the roof just looks older than the rest of the house. If you see leaks, missing shingles or bare spots, call for an inspection — that may need a roofer instead.

Question 10

What types of shingles can be treated?

Accepted Answer

Asphalt shingles, both 3-tab and architectural/dimensional. Metal, tile, slate, wood shake and flat membrane (TPO/rubber) roofs aren't candidates. Roofs that already have a sealant or coating applied usually aren't either.

Question 11

What if my roof doesn't qualify?

Accepted Answer

We'll tell you honestly and show you why. We'd rather turn down a job than treat a roof it won't help.

Question 12

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

We give a written quote after the free inspection — every roof is different. Call 850-300-0942 to book yours.

Question 13

Is it safe for my kids, pets and plants?

Accepted Answer

We use a bio-based, plant-oil formula and take care around your landscaping, vehicles and outdoor spaces on treatment day. We'll walk you through what to expect before we start.

Question 14

Is it safe to walk on the roof afterward?

Accepted Answer

Treated shingles are slippery while wet, so stay off the roof until the product has absorbed. We recommend waiting a day or two before any roof foot traffic.

Question 15

What if it rains after treatment?

Accepted Answer

We need dry conditions to apply and watch the forecast closely. Once the product has had roughly an hour or so to soak in, a typical afternoon shower generally isn't a problem.

Question 16

Does it hold up to North Florida heat and sun?

Accepted Answer

Intense UV and heat are exactly what dry out shingles, which is why North Florida and South Georgia roofs often age faster. Rejuvenation is not a substitute for storm work, though — wind or hail damage should go through your insurer.
